Refund Policy
Effective 20 July 2026
This Refund Policy explains when a payment made through indiasorted.com is eligible for a refund. It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms and Conditions.
1. What you pay for
Each payment you make through the Service is made up of three components, shown to you before you pay: the government eVisa fee set by the Government of India, a bank or processing charge on that government fee, and our service fee for preparing, checking and filing your application.
2. Government fee
The government fee is collected on behalf of, and paid to, the Government of India as part of filing your application. Once an application has been submitted to the government portal, the government fee is generally non-refundable, in line with the government's own published rules for the eVisa scheme. If your application has not yet been submitted to the government portal, contact us as soon as possible and we will assess whether a refund of the government fee is possible.
3. Our service fee
Our service fee is refundable in full in the following circumstances:
- you cancel your application before we have begun preparing or filing it with the government portal;
- we are unable to file your application at all because of an error, delay or omission on our part;
- your application is refused by the government authority and the refusal was caused by an error on our part in preparing or filing it, for example a data entry or formatting error that does not reflect the information you actually provided to us.
Our service fee is not refundable where:
- your application is refused, delayed or subject to additional scrutiny for reasons within the government authority's discretion and unrelated to any error on our part, including your travel history, nationality, security screening outcome or documentation the government authority considers insufficient;
- your application is refused or delayed because of inaccurate, incomplete or misleading information or documents that you provided, including information you confirmed after it was extracted from your passport by our automated tools;
- you are found ineligible for the eVisa category you applied under, or become ineligible to travel, for reasons outside our control;
- you simply change your mind after we have already filed your application.
4. Duplicate or erroneous payments
If you are charged twice for the same application, or charged an incorrect amount because of a technical error, contact us with your payment reference and we will refund the excess amount once we have verified the error.
5. How to request a refund
To request a refund, contact us using the details on our Contact page, quoting the email address you applied with and, where possible, your application reference. We aim to respond to refund requests within five business days. Where a refund is approved, it will be issued to the original payment method through our payment processor, Dodo Payments, and may take up to ten business days to appear in your account, depending on your bank or card issuer.
6. Chargebacks
We ask that you contact us first so we can try to resolve any payment issue directly. Raising a chargeback or dispute with your bank or card issuer without first contacting us may delay resolution and, where a chargeback is found to be unwarranted following our investigation, we reserve the right to contest it and to decline further service pending resolution.
7. Contact
Refund requests and questions about this Policy can be sent using the details on our Contact page, or in writing to our registered office:
